Hawai‘i Island: Stargazing on top of Mauna Kea
Mauna Kea Onizuka visitor Center: Located at 9,300 foot (2,800 m), you will receive health, safety, universal, cultural, scientific and environmental information which will permit you to understand the significance of the “White Mountain” (Mauna Kea), and get used to the altitude before reaching the summit at 13,786 foot (4,205 m). Moreover, telescopes will be set up at night to discover and see the wonder of the Universe with a passionate group of experts.

‘Imiloa Astronomy Center: A unique Hawaiian voyage through Time and Space
‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii tells dual stories of the renowned Maunakea volcano, with its world-famous astronomy and rich traditions of Hawaiian culture. ‘Imiloa, which means “exploring new knowledge,” reflects both the Hawaiian voyages of discovery and the explorations of astronomy.
